Visa info, accommodation and insurance

HEALTH INSURANCE

Please note that health insurance during your studies in Belgrade is compulsory. Students are advised to purchase an international health insurance in their own country. If you hold valid medical insurance which covers your stay in Serbia, standard medical treatment is obtainable free of charge.

VISA

If you wish to study in Serbia, prior to your arrival check here if you require a visa. In case you have any doubt regarding visa issues, please contact Serbian Embassy in your country. The list of Serbian Embassies and consular missions you can find here. If you are EU citizen and wish to stay up to 90 days no visa or residence permit is required. Although EU citizens can enter Serbia with their ID card it is recommended that you use a passport.

If you need a visa to enter Serbia you must apply from the Serbian Embassy in your country of residence. In case of being accepted, please start with handling your legal status immediately. It may take more than a month to gain a visa. We will provide a Letter of Invitation for the purpose of issuing a visa. Passport

Make sure you have a passport, valid for the entirety of your planned time on exchange plus an additional six months after your planned return.

ACCOMMODATION/HOUSING

College of Hotel Management does not own student dormitory or other student-housing facillities However, it has very good relations with different students’ dormitories (Studentski domovi) and is willing to help with contacts and provide accommodation (more about Students centers in Belgrade see under https://sc.rs/sc/). Students can also be accommodated in hotels and private apartments. Detailed offer with contact details of almost all hotels in Belgrade is under http://beogradskihoteli.com/. In the vicinity of the College there is a student center where you can find nice accommodation and food http://sc.rs/sc/kosutnjak/.

BUDDY SUPPORT

ESN student organisation in Belgrade runs a ‘buddy’ scheme that connects new students with buddies. Buddies are existing students who volunteer their time to share their experiences and offer extra support to new students. Your buddy may help you to prepare your stay, meet you on your arrival and help you to involve with the social aspects of university life while you are in Belgrade.
